About Me - Ellie B Jewels
My mom was a great seamstress so I learnt my sewing skills from a very early age. She also taught us (my sisters and myself) to knit and crochet. As we grew up handmade goods was always being created and new crafts being learnt including cross stitch, rag rug making and more.
Since as far back as I can remember I have always been fascinated by jewellery, and always have jewellery boxes full of bits and pieces. Whenever I went on holiday I always manage to pick up some (well quiet a bit) of locally produced jewellery.
I use a variety of materials including Swarovski crystals and pearls, semi-precious gemstones, glass beads, sterling silver findings and silver & gold plated findings to construct my pieces. I also have a passion for Chain Maille jewellery. I am currently using the Byzantine and European 4-in-1 weave for bracelets. I've made bracelets from sterling silver, pure copper and aluminium rings. In the near future.
Recently added to this collection are my handmade bags. This also includes the reusable eco friendly fabric party bags. I've more fabric designs available so just contact me for details.
Jewellery making workshops and sewing lessons and more....
As a great believer in passing on your skills and knowledge, I'm expanding my workshops to cover more jewellery making workshops, sewing lessons, crochet lessons, knitting lessons and pattern cutting all in Birmingham. The classes are suitable for any levels, and includes bag making, fascinator making and much more to come.
I've delivered workshops here in Birmingham for a local community groups called Scawdi, Deaf Plus in Birmingham, Lordswood Girls school as part of their applied learning lessons and for a few local business.
If you are looking for an activity for a party why not try a jewellery making workshop, a sewing lesson or even making a fascinator. I am willing to discuss your ideas.
